Shipping & Customs

This page explains international shipping and customs basics for our request-based proxy purchasing service. (We prepare and ship your parcel, but customs decisions are made by the destination country.)

Request → Quote → Pay Invoice We buy in Korea after payment Duties/Taxes paid by recipient

1) Shipping timeline

  • We start purchasing and processing after invoice payment is confirmed.
  • Typical delivery time: 7–21 business days (varies by country, season, and customs clearance).
Tracking is provided when available. Customs delays can happen even with correct paperwork.

2) Customs, duties & taxes

  • Import duties, VAT/GST, and any local taxes are the recipient’s responsibility.
  • Carriers or customs may contact the recipient for payment before delivery.
We recommend checking your country’s import rules before requesting items.

3) Restricted / prohibited items

Some items can be restricted depending on the destination country and carrier rules.

  • Flammables, aerosols, pressurized containers
  • Perfumes and some alcohol-based cosmetics
  • Items with certain batteries or hazardous materials
  • Anything prohibited by local customs regulations
If an item cannot be shipped, we will notify you before purchase whenever possible.

4) Address requirements

  • Please provide a complete address (street, city, state/province, postal/ZIP code).
  • A reachable phone number may be required for courier/customs contact.
  • Incorrect or missing information can cause delays or return-to-sender.

5) Inspection & repackaging

  • We perform a basic check for visible issues and prepare the parcel for international shipping.
  • Minor dents/scratches on outer retail packaging can occur during domestic shipping.
  • If you need extra protective packaging, mention it in your request notes.

6) Volumetric weight (box size matters)

  • International shipping can be charged by actual weight or volumetric weight, whichever is higher.
  • Final shipping cost is confirmed after packing (box size + materials).
What does “recipient pays duties/taxes” mean?

In many international shipments, duties/taxes are collected by customs or the carrier in the destination country. The carrier may request payment from the recipient before final delivery.

Why can the final international shipping cost change?

Final cost depends on the packed parcel’s billable weight (actual vs volumetric), packaging materials, and carrier rules. We confirm the final shipping cost after packing.

Tip: It’s best practice to clearly communicate duties/taxes responsibility in your shipping policy and customer communications.
